Ahmad Ismail: UMNO’s racist thug and poster child for the dangers of inbreeding.

Heaven knows Malaysia has suffered more than her fair share of pustulent bigots, but Bukit Bendera UMNO chief Ahmad Ismail takes the definition of ‘pustulent bigot’ to even more putrid depths, first with his racist tirade against ‘Chinese squatters’ during the Permatang Pauh campaign, and now his equally fetid defiance in the face of public outrage.

The delicious irony is that this inbred, racist thug has done far more damage to UMNO than to anyone else, really. Even better, he’s actually managed to insult his own UMNO leadership as well in the process. It takes real talent to be be able to do all that. Of course, this festering sac of pus pretending to be a human being rationalises that he is doing a great service to bigotkind.

So, the question is: will Badawi and Najib make an example of Ahmad Ismail to stamp out the growing UMNO mutiny (no one expects them to disown the statement and make a real apology to the Chinese and minorities), or will they quietly appease the extremist faction represented by this rabid dog, who after all was only reiterating the racist sentiments so often uttered in the past by UMNO leaders – including Najib himself?

It does not matter now. Either way, great damage has been done to UMNO, and to a lesser extent, BN.

This is what happens when one interbreeds and inbreeds racists and thugs: In its quest for ‘racial supremacy’ UMNO has instead succeeded in producing a new breed of untermenschen – vile, gibbering, inbred creatures dripping with corruption and fattened on the twin poisons of bigotry and ignorance (Much like J.R.R. Tolkien’s Orcs and Uruk-hai); vermin like Ahmad Ismail, Hishammudin, Khairy, Najib, Bung Radin, Nazri Aziz, Adnan Yaakob, Hashim Suboh… the list goes on and on.

Ironically, the fool has inadvertently helped us advance the popular, multiracial platform of Pakatan Rakyat, by highlighting (yet again) the undisguised racism within UMNO. We could spend hours (and we do) expounding the virtues of the Bangsa Malaysia principle – ‘colourblind’ Malaysian multiculturalism – and still be scarcely more convincing than having this vile creature demonstrate for us the dangers of bigotry.

That UMNO should be undone by the rantings of one of its own racist dogs is but poetic justice.

May I suggest that when Pakatan Rakyat reclaims our country from the UMNO-BN regime, we each send a thank-you card to Ahmad Ismail for his ‘help’.

THAT, my fellow Malaysians, would be poetic revenge. Serve it cold.

Best regards,

Penang Umno backs Ahmad, snubs Pak Lah
Athi Veerangan | Sep 5, 08 4:10pm

Backed by all 13 Umno divisions from Penang, the embattled Bukit Bendera Umno division chief Ahmad Ismail today fervently defended his stand not to apologise for his alleged racist remarks against the Chinese community.

MCPX

All Penang Umno divisions, including Prime Minister and Umno president Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s Kepala Batas, fully supported Ahmad’s stance, which erupted into a national furore since last week. The Penang Umno’s action today came as a snub against the prime minister who had earlier urged Ahmad to make an apology.

Abdullah, who is Penang Umno chief, is scheduled to have a meeting with the division leaders tomorrow in his home state.

Instead of apologising, the local Umno strongman today accused vernacular daily Sin Chiew Daily and its journalist for triggering the controversy by reporting his speech out of context, which was delivered during the recent Permatang Pauh by-election rally in Kampung Belah Dua on Aug 25.

“The newspaper and reporter were the ones who should apologise to me, my family, my friends, Umno and all Malaysians for misrepresenting the facts and wrongly reporting my statements,” he said.

Ahmad also took a swipe at the so-called trial by media, which had publicly found him guilty without hearing his side of the story.

The packed press conference was unexpectedly held under a rather intimidating atmosphere with the presence of some 100 Umno members, mostly from Bukit Bendera division, and it was frequently punctuated by shouts of racial slurs and threats.

Other local Umno leaders such as state secretary Azhar Ibrahim, Bukit Mertajam division chief Musa Syeikh Fadzir and Bayan Baru division chief Mohd Zain Omar joined Ahmad to rap those who objected to Ahmad’s rally speech.

Azhar blasted the Sin Chew Daily journalist who first reported Ahmad’s speech as ‘idiotic’, saying that “the reporter and the newspaper should be held responsible for inciting racial hatred and conflict”.

Meanwhile, Ahmad also slammed Gerakan acting president Dr Koh Tsu Koon as a “great liar and opportunist”, and said Gerakan can always “get out from Barisan Nasional”.

He even claimed BN would not have lost in Penang in the last general election if not for the incompetency of former chief minister Koh and his party.

“MCA could have won more seats if not for Gerakan,” he claimed.

He accused Koh and Gerakan of using him as a pawn to resurrect their waning credibility, position and relevance among the Chinese community.

In a clear sign of defiance and internal mutiny over the controversy, Musa hit out at the Umno top leadership for apologising on behalf of the party without checking the facts with Ahmad.

Deputy Prime Minister and Umno deputy president Najib Abdul Razak had already apologised over the issue to Chinese Malaysians on behalf of the party.

“The national leadership can have its own stand, but Penang divisional leaders have theirs.

“We fully back Ahmad on this issue,” Musa told journalists, rejecting outright Najib’s apologetic gesture.

But the most intimidating threat came from former Bayan Lepas assemblyperson Mohd Zain, who warned “non-Malays to be extra careful with their deeds and words”.

“Don’t disturb and push the Malays too much. Don’t think we are quiet.

“We can retaliate very aggressively,” he thumped home amidst applause from supporters.

Mohd Zain rapped “Chinese and Hindus of blowing up Muslim conversion issues out of proportion while at the same time, being quiet on Christianity conversion issues”.

At the same time, Ahmad argued that he was neither a racist nor anti-Chinese.

The former municipal councillor, who is being investigated by the police under the Sedition Act, said he has many Chinese friends, both personal and business, all these years.

The press conference ended with a show of solidarity and strength from local Umno leaders, and shouts of ‘Hidup Melayu’ (long live Malays).

MarGeeMar reveals why Badawi can’t go down hard on Ahmad Ismail: they’re business partners, that’s why! Apparently, Dollah has shares in a company that owns Peninsular Metal Works Sdn Bhd, one of the contractors associated with the shelved multi-billion-ringgit Penang Outer Ring Road project. Umno bizniz-as-usual. Short live the Barisan Nazi-anal! 🙂

It is surprising that in the 21st century era, we can still find politician making racial statement to garner support. It merely shows how shallow a person can be. The most disturbing is that he is still defiance and though his superior had already make an apology on his behalf for his stupid remarks.

Please note that the Chinese and Indian had defended the country too in the late 1800 and early 1900’s , if he reads the Malaysia history, unless he is illiterate. Ooops by the way, have you all ever wonder what race is HANG TUAH, HANG JEBAT & all other great heroes of the Malacca sultanate? Please check the net….they are Chinese muslim who had defended the Malacca. Without them, there is no Malacca and of course no Malaysia. There were sent by the Emperor of China to help the Malacca sultanate to protect them against the Thai.

Also, please remember that all Malaysians’ are pendatang except the ORANG ASLI. Paremeswara came to Malacca back in the late 1400, in short also called the “pendatang”.

So Mr Ahamd, Musa, Mohd Zain and the rest of the “shallow” team, please read and stop acting like child. Malaysian belongs to all Malaysian not just a selected group.

Malaysia Boleh!

Why protect Ahmad for his racist remark. Jail him and put him under ISA like the govt had done to others who instigated hatred among the Malaysian. Why the double standard? For those reading this, we should vote BN out of Govt on the next election, and if we can have 30 by-election, then we can say bye-bye earlier.

It is really disgusting!

Chansey

First of all, welcome back, Ghostline!

Not trying to be Machiavellian here, but is there a possiblity that this guy is being used to set UMNO up for a fall?

Arguments for:
1. I’m fairly certain he’s aware that what he’s doing is daft beyond measure and hurts UMNO.

2. Rumour has it that he and hopeful PM-to-be Anwar were once friends, though whether the rumours are true, I don’t know.

3. The obvious beneficiaries would be Pakatan Rakyat, especially if the MCA and Gerakan finally decide to join PR.

Arguments against:
1. This kind of keris-waving stunt has been done time and again by the UMNO folks.

2. Gerakan and MCA may leave BN but remain independent parties, thus becoming a potential threat to PR rather than a help.

3. Anwar doesn’t seem to have used this tactic after joining the PR, and hopefully he never will.

I’m not trying to be doubtful of Anwar, but we have to consider the possibility that he is resorting to Machiavellian means in order to become PM. We’d best be wary if this is indeed the case.

[ GhL ] : Hello Chansey, methinks this pusbag is positioning himself for UMNO Youth elections in November, hence his rabid antics to portray himself as a ‘champion’ of Malay rights. We’ve seen this so many times before. But it’s a very different Malaysia now, post-March 8th. The Malay people have seen through UMNO’s flimsy facade. However, UMNO leaders tend to be surrounded by sycophants – insulating them from the real world. It is a real possibility that this thug still thinks he is doing UMNO a favour.

If Gerakan leaves BN – which seems likely at this point – the signs are that they will work with Pakatan. If I were Anwar, I’d extend an open invitation to them immediately and start the dominos falling for 916.

It is impossible to overemphasise the urgency of replacing the UMNO-BN regime as soon as possible. We can deal with this racist thug at leisure thereafter. So much work to repair the damage done by UMNO-BN to this country.

Sheena

Every line in this post made for delicious – DELICIOUS – reading. No other word describes it better.

I’m glad you’re back 🙂

And the idea for the thank you card… priceless.

To be fair, though, what UMNO candidate wouldn’t think that making racist remarks is the way to advance your political career? Look at how far Hishamuddin & Najib got. Heck, look at UMNO in general; that’s a party that’s competed on a racist platform for ages & ages – anyone would think that’s a winning-formula, if the last 51 years are anything to go by.

Good thing times are a’changing.

And good on MCA & Gerakan for (finally) pulling the curtains on BN’s ridiculous unity-act. Though, there’s still MIC & the other component parties of Sarawak & Sabah that he’s yet to piss off.

Come on, Ahmad Ismail, bring it home!

[ GhL ] : Thanks for the compliment. Must…not…let it get to my head.

Uh, too late.

Yes… irony is a dangerously addictive delicacy. It’s nice to be back too, Sheena. Like I tell my friends: when the gates of Hell closed again at the end of the Seventh lunar month, I got locked out, so decided to haunt UMNO-BN again. 🙂
