What I can tell you is that Pakatan Rakyat is holding a Hari Malaysia celebration on 15th September, 2008 at the Kelana Jaya stadium to commemorate 45 years of the formation of Malaysia, since 1963. The even starts at 8pm.
We are going to utilise that event to show solidarity with RPK.
I will try to get more details of that event and update all of you when I can.
Meanwhile, please start an sms campaign. Please send out the sms below. Can someone do translations in BM, Tamil and Mandarin, please? Send it in and I will put it up.

This fascist action is clearly premeditated.
A few days ago, out of nowhere the Army Chief gave a ‘warning’ not to stir up ‘racist sentiments’. [ CORRECTION: see 2nd comment below ~ Ed ]
There is a general consensus that UMNO hardliners – in collaboration with the PDRM and the Malaysian Armed Forces [ CORRECTION: see 2nd comment below ~ Ed ] – are attempting to repeat the racial riots and coup d’etat of May 13th 1969, by first provoking the people with this wave of ISA arrests, and then using the resulting unrest as an excuse to declare an emergency and further suppress the opposition. At the same time, the hardliners will overthrow Badawi and impose a Malay supremacist government in the mold of Tun Abdul Razak and Harun Idris.
Well. This is not 1969.
We will not allow that to happen. The non-UMNO Malays will not allow that to happen. They have seen through your lies, UMNO.
We will not fall into that trap, despite the raging anger on the ground.
We will bide our time, take over the government, re-establish the rule of (real) law, and then deal with these bigots one at a time.

Not just Raja Petra, but also Sin Chew Jit Poh journalist Tan Hoon Cheng has now been detained under the ISA… for REPORTING the racist remarks made by that motherfucker Ahmad Ismail and his UMNO goons, who also made death threats against Tan.
Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has failed completely, as Prime Minister, as UMNO president, as a human being. Nothing he can do will ever redeem him. The best that he can do now is to jump off the Petronas Towers. But I doubt he can even manage to do that by himself.
The UMNO-BN govt has gone too far this time, even by its own abysmal standards. This is fascism, pure and simple.

It is indeed very sad to see headlines in The Star online that the Sin Chew reporter were arrested under ISA. Why arrest her under ISA? She is only reporting the statement made by the political leader which indeed were racial in remarks (as he is found guilty by the UMNO supreme council and subsequently led to his suspension). Why now punish the innocent who reported the case to public? Is this the way the government take revenge when their weaknesses were exposed? So please arrest the culprit and not the victims……The law is fair to all Malaysian irregardless of ranking or hierarchy in the country.

I apologise unreservedly to the General and Armed Forces for my mistake. I am truly glad that the army is maintaining its professionalism, even in the midst of long-entrenched institutional racism. This is even more evidence that this is not 1969.
However, I stand by my contempt for the PDRM.
